What are we supposed to do?

So now some of us got the five dollar mini deal. what are we doing with them? We can’t use them for in motion so now we’re stuck with them. I’m thinking about canceling the service and dropping down to the $80 service, because I see on the website that if we drop down, we have to turn it in or pay for it, and I’m not about to do that. Not only that I purchased a magnetic mount for it to put on my truck and also a protective cover what are we gonna do with those things? So many changes with STARLINK lately.

If it were me, I would downgrade to the Residential 200 Mbps service (or even 100 Mbps) and just send the Mini back. Buy one outright if you need it for travel. The $249 purchase price is a one-time fee, and gives you flexibility from having to use Standby Mode. You will be able to keep your service cancelled/inactive most of the time ($0/month). For months where you need to use it, you pay for a Roam plan. Then it goes back to cancelled.

Alternatively, keep the Mini rental. They will allow this if you keep paying the $10/month Standby Mode fee on the Mini.
